Car Seat Headrest

Car Seat Headrest began as the project of Will Toledo, who chose the name "Car Seat Headrest" due to his decision to record the vocals of his first albums in the back seat of his car for privacy. Toledo's production has gradually grown less lo-fi, but he still remains an effective example of the DIY ethic. Releasing 12 albums on the music platform Bandcamp, Car Seat Headrest signed to Matador Records in 2015 and began touring as a full band in 2016, presenting material from their latest album 'Teens of Denial.'
